aerospecific is a celebration of the joy of flight, put together by a team of authors and creators who live, sleep and breathe all things aviation. We cover topics from the world of flying that pique our interest, including aircraft design, flight dynamics, simulation, aviation history, and others.
aerospecific was founded by Chetan Rao and Chaitra Rao.
As a commercial pilot and flight instructor, Chetan has enjoyed the privilege of being a part of the aviation industry, not to mention interacting with some of the most passionate students and aviators on the planet. At the age of seven, he had the magnificent experience of seeing the snowy peak of Mount Kilimanjaro from the flight deck of a Zambian Airways Boeing 737-200, and has been obsessed with winged wonders ever since.
Chaitra is an author, cognitive neuropsychology scientist, and lifelong aviation enthusiast. From choosing flights based on the type of aircraft (rather than on timing and airfare, like normal people), just to get to experience different planes, to voraciously devouring books on flying, her curiosity about flying is boundless.
